Slow and Steady Wins the Race is a conceptual clothing and accessory line that reinterprets the classical everyday wardrobe. It is built on the belief that high design can be, and should be, accessible to all.
Slow and Steady Wins the Race asks: What do we wear, why do we wear it, and how can we create new classics that are timely and timeless, unique yet universal? The work is a logical dissection of fashion, an investigation into the basic elements of what we wear, and a considered response to the hyper-consumerist pace of fashion.
The intention is to push and produce interesting and significant pieces from the simplest fabrics and materials with a focus on the fundamental characteristics of clothing design while contributing a commentary on the anthropology of fashion.
The oeuvre serves as a living archive. Each piece, from the earliest to the most current, is still available today as a testament that good design is always relevant.
Each perennial collection originates from a sartorial category and introduces a fresh set of styles delivered at a regulated pace year-round. This accelerated pace goes against the usual seasonal schedule as a commentary on modern fashion’s temporal nature. This philosophy behind Slow and Steady Wins the Race breaks the rule that fashion must constantly change. The work is seasonless and proves that good design elicits both an intellectual and emotional response that is ageless, cross-cultural — boundless.

To protect the integrity of our limited runs and small business artisan manufacturing, all sales are bound by strict, asset-protective return timelines modeled after standard luxury retail protocols.
-
Merchandise: All return requests must be initiated and shipped back within 10 days of the confirmed delivery date. Any request or shipment initiated outside of these precise windows is contractually void, and the return will be automatically rejected.
To be eligible for a refund, store credit, or exchange, items must be returned in Original, Pristine, and Resaleable Condition. This is strictly defined as:
-
Completely unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and undamaged.
-
Free of any signs of wear, stains, odors, pet hair, fabric scuffs, or cosmetic smudges.
-
Enclosed in all original branded packaging that it was received in—including the designated inner designer box, dust bags, tissue paper, and all attached tags.
2. Mandatory "Floor Test" Policy for Footwear
Shoes are delicate, high-exposure luxury goods. They must only be tried on indoors on a clean, pristine, carpeted surface to prevent scratching, indentation, or fiber accumulation on the soles or upper structure.
Absolute Exclusion: Any shoe showing signs of outdoor wear, smoothed or scuffed outsoles, heel counter friction, creasing, or dirt accumulation cannot be resold and is entirely ineligible for a refund, credit, or exchange.
3. Inspection, Right of Refusal, and Dispute Resolution
-
Mandatory Photographic Inspection: All returns undergo a rigorous, documented photographic and technical inspection upon receipt at our fulfillment facility to verify pristine condition.
-
Right of Refusal: We reserve the sole right to determine if a returned item meets the definition of Original, Pristine Condition. If an item fails inspection, no refund will be issued. The customer will be notified via email with clear photographic evidence of the damage or wear and will be given 10 days to provide a pre-paid shipping label to have their worn property returned to them. Unclaimed items will be permanently discarded after 1 days.
-
Chargeback Defense & Friendly Fraud: We actively and aggressively contest fraudulent chargebacks (chargeback abuse). Our enterprise system logs precise shipping timestamps, delivery confirmation data, and comprehensive photographic records of both outbound inventory and inbound returns. This objective evidence is systematically submitted to issuing banks and merchant processors to successfully reverse fraudulent dispute claims.
4. Final Sale Items
The following items are strictly Final Sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded under any circumstances:
-
Items purchased during promotional, archive, or sample sales.
